Project Summary
SLS Response was activated in late September 2022 as Category 4 Hurricane Ian zeroed in on Florida’s Gulf Coast near Fort Myers, which is about 10 miles from Cape Coral. SLS activated two subcontractors to provide emergency catering for City personnel and emergency operations personnel.
The team served up to 2,500 meals per service. SLS provided bulk food supplies, including hot and cold boxed meals, water, drinks, and on-site preparation in response to Hurricane Ian. Non-perishable and refrigerated food supplies were provided along with condiments, eating utensils, cleaning supplies, and disinfectants. The SLS team scaled all necessary services and resources to provide supplies and facilitate on-site preparation.
