Project Summary

The SDC-14 Imperial Beach Fence Replacement project was a component of the Federal government’s program to secure the United States – Mexico border. USACE engaged SLS to design the bollard system and coordinate all construction and installation activities.

Throughout the project, SLS managed all material orders, deliveries, contractor work schedules and safety/security personnel in order to complete the project in the most time and cost efficient way, while still upholding the quality result that is a staple of all SLS projects.

With safety and efficiency in mind, SLS mitigated risk and maintained a
contingency response mindset akin to military or disaster operations.
