Project Summary

In September of 2018, Hurricane Florence battered North Carolina with torrential winds and rain for nearly a week, resulting in flooding and damage to over one million households across the state.

 

FEMA engaged SLS to mobilize personnel, equipment and materials within hours and completed repairs on Phase One homes within only three days of the project commencement.

 

Due to the unparalleled performance of completing the most homes of any contractor, SLS was assigned subsequent phases of the STEP program and repaired a total of 350+ homes in 9 counties over the course of the program.
